The Backstory

To reflect our commitment and dedication towards breast cancer early detection and our unyielding persistence to make change; we have adopted seven words to echo our values. These words are derived from survivors’ intense emotions and experiences during their unwavering battles against breast cancer: Faith, Life, Hope, Support, Willpower, Strength, and Victory.

These seven values are the backbone of what we do. They are inspired by a woman’s fight against breast cancer, and the cycle that she passes through starting at detection and diagnosis, and then through the various difficult stages of treatment. Throughout these phases, armed with hope focus on survival and life, arm herself with the willpower and strength to overcome, but also embrace faith and be surrounded by the support of her family and friends until she, victoriously beats the disease.

JBCP’s advocates have embraced these values and continue to create their own innovative initiatives and activities that are inspired by, and themed around, these seven strong words.
