In Jordan, JBCP has worked on enhancing the quality of early detection services across sectors to improve provided services to women and breast cancer diagnosis. This was implemented through the development of national unified screening and diagnosis guidelines, the creation and distribution of quality control manuals, the implementation of quality control training workshops for concerned medical and technical professionals, in addition to the development of systematic quality improvement tools such as a Breast Imaging Units Certification Program.

Accordingly, JBCP can help direct service quality management and improvement efforts of organizations concerned with local development through:

  • Developing guidelines, clinical and non-clinical protocols and plans, unified policies and procedures, in addition to developing systematic dissemination plans to circulate guidelines among concerned professionals
  • Creating educational and training manuals in the field of early detection of breast cancer
  • Developing national standards in collaboration with the Healthcare Accreditation Council
  • Providing onsite consultations and situational analysis for available services, in addition to the development of assessment tools and action plans
  • Designing and implementing a Breast Imaging Units Certification Program in collaboration with the Healthcare Accreditation Council, through:
    • Gap analysis
    • Introduction to quality in breast imaging, breast imaging standards interpretation and technical mammography and ultrasound quality control workshops
