JBCP recognizes that every country has its own unique development needs and challenges. Depending on the context and country, the approach addressing those needs will require local adaptation to best support the local communities.

Benchmarking international and regional best practices and learning from successful experiences implemented in similar contexts minimize the time and effort required to achieve successful development outcomes and guarantee long-term impact.

JBCP has achieved incredible success over the past ten years, and is a living example of how local development can be achieved—even in a limited-resource country. Serving as a model, the Program offers its well-established expertise and robust experience in designing and implementing a national breast cancer early detection program to local and regional organizations and governments attempting similar efforts.

Our hope is that this will help eliminate the need to reinvent the wheel. Our multi-dimensional participatory approach introduces innovative effective concepts in the development of national programs, specifically in a multi-stakeholder context that promotes cross-sectorial collaboration.

The flexibility and adaptability of a scientific-based approach in the development of the program makes it relevant for different public health topics and non-health development needs, including environment, youth, women empowerment, and others.

JBCP’s technical assistance and consultancy services offer support to organizations involved in local development in the fields of national program establishment and design, public service provision improvement, quality management, civil society engagement, behavioral change communication, research and studies, monitoring and evaluation, in addition to advocacy and policy reform.
